I AM FREE

Dealing with the challenges of school and all the stresses that come with homework and midterms is no easy breeze. I know this semester for me has been one of the hardest I have ever dealt with. I'm not only just dealing with the stresses of my school work but also the stresses of giving my heart completely to the Lord. By reading II Corinthians 3:17, it states "now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." If I were to focus on the Spirit of the Lord then these stresses would no longer matter because I would be surrounded by freedom.

If I do my work for the glory of God and surround myself with His Spirit, then there would be no need to stress because I would have freedom within my heart. When we give our hearts to the Lord that is when He truly sets us free. I love how our packet states, "Christ breaks your self-doubt, timidity, and fear and establishes in you the courage, resolve, and restlessness to live in absolute freedom of expression." WOW!!! By seeking the Spirit and consuming ourselves with Him drastically transforms lives. We no longer need to hide behind fear and self-doubt because God will protect us and will give us the courage to overcome all obstacles.

So yes my obstacles may be just a HCOM midterm or an eight page essay, but with God I can overcome those worries. Trust in the Lord and He shall provide!
