Bold? Unthoughtful? John... How could you watch him?

Could you imagine denying Jesus to anybody, because I could not... at least verbally. By our actions though, it is very easy to. Now imagine your friend, who follows Christ, being ignorant or putting others down. This could be a form of denying Jesus that we see everyday on the water, some kids just do not want to involve other kids in the games. Finally, pretend that the kid being denied is Jesus. What to do, what to do? Calling him on it is just going to resentfully make him accept the other into the activity, but doing nothing will just make him think that is something that is ok to do. I think the answer, following John's example, is to over time show them the way. No one instance is going to dramatically change someones life, but rather a series of exposures and experiences develop people into who they are. I have a friend who about a year ago barely would play on a soccer team with me, not because he did not like soccer (he loves it), but because the team is one that my church put together. My friend refused to believe, until he met a girl... Somehow she convinced him to attend christian concerts and church services, and with this he slowly began to make sense of what he was hearing. My friend is now juiced for Jesus, but it wasn't one thing that made him this way. It was slow and gradual, and no one FORCED him into it. In the same way we have to love those who deny Jesus and let them come to their own conclusions with time about what loving Jesus looks like.
